Did I ever tell you about my friend Dever? I always knew Dever, but we were never formally introduced. I would hear him talk, and I always thought he was so wise. Dever was very conservative and never liked to venture in to unexplored territory.
Dever and I were formally introduced a few months ago. I always thought he was my voice of reason. He would offer advice to me when I always wanted to do something new, like start a new career! He would say to me, "What are you doing? Why do you want to do all this work? You have such a wonderful life as a housewife."
He would offer challenges to me like "You are becoming a Life Coach, but what other qualifications do you have? All the other people in your program have accolades like writers and business owners or doctorates or at least their master's degree."
Well, in case you haven't caught on, Dever turns out not to be a great friend of mine. He is my personified inner voice that keeps me from finding my authentic self and living my life to the fullest.
So, Dever, I exorcise thee; Go away!! I have all these plans. I can't have you telling me what I can't do! I want to get my certification, build my business, and do some crazy things as I get older.
So, I ask you all, what is the name of the voice that keeps you from achieving your greatest potential?
Are there things you want to achieve, but your "friends" are keeping you from living a fulfilling life?
First, try to identify your "friend." Where does he live? Inside or outside of you? Dever sits on my shoulder and advises me. At times, I flick him off because he is bugging me.
What does your "friend" look like?
Dever is a joker, dressed in red. He is a quirky looking guy. He really needs to go to the mall and go shopping to get some new clothes!
So, if you have a friend like Dever, lets exorcise them and return the power to us! Life is too short to listen to these fools. We have things to achieve!
Till next time...

Trusting your inner voice,,
HI All,
I love this short story so much I wanted to share it with you all. Finding assurance is about listening to your inner voice and knowing that you will be right in your decision and trusting that voice. I hope you all find encouragement and enjoy this short story.
"You never know when one act, or one word
of encouragement can change a life forever."
~ Zig Ziglar
How true it is! Just one act of kindness...just one word of encouragement, can change a life forever.
"The Push", is a wonderful short story written by my co-author David McNally. The story inspired this book, (Even Eagles Need a Push) and the movie you're about to watch. It has only 182 words, but it captures the essence of encouragement in a way you'll never forget.
So sit back, turn up your speakers, and watch a beautiful 3 minute movie that will make your heart smile.
And, don't forget to pay it forward, by sharing this e-mail with friends, family, and co-workers. A little "shot of inspiration" is always a good thing!

/Tame those negative thoughts....be-gone!
Hi All,
Well I just wanted to let you all know that my presentation was a success. At least for me it was....
I went in and thought all these people do not want me to fail. They are excited to hear what I have to say. With these thoughts, I proceeded with my presentation/workshop. I guess the theme here is that all the negative talk that comes into your head needs to clear out! It keeps you from achieving your goals. I was so worried that who would want to listen to me? I am only in my certification program. But, I told myself that I have training and alot of life experiences that will help others to achieve their goals. I told my negative thoughts to leave me..my little saboteur.
We all have one or 2 or 3 that tells us what not to do or say and keeps us safe.
Recently I am having my coaching sessions reviewed by my supervisor. I get to be critiqued so I can be a better coach for my clients. I need to keep this in mind because criticism is hard for me..I find fault with myself more that I find the good in myself.
So when things are aggravating you, instead of yelling and being miserable.. ask yourself why am I feeling this way? What am I learning from this situation? You will be surprised what you will learn. Till next time...
Many Blessings,
Sherry

Do you work from your heart?
"Do your work with all your heart and you will succeed. There is so little competition."
This is the quote for today on my blog... What is it to do your work with all your heart? For me my work is like not working. It is doing something for the betterment of others. It is working with the idea that this is my purpose. The excitement and enthusiasm comes form within. I have the best job ever to help others reach their goals and potential and become unstuck. It is also by the grace of God I do this...not my grace...
I am excited by this quote today because I am doing a presentation on July 9 for a breast cancer support group. I have to remember that this is my first presentation ever.. other than teaching kids...If I do this from my heart, I will connect...I am nervous about this but I will say a prayer and ask God to speak through me and make a difference in somebody's life...
So many times, I get caught up in all the clerical duties I have to perform during my day... I have to remember...I GET to help others and make a difference..and they in turn they pay it forward.. So today.. do your work from your heart.. try it and see if it will make a difference in your day.
Let me know.... or just think about it..

Cha-Cha, Chew, and Wine, Please!
Hey all, I hear some of you have been reading my blog.. Well that is good. I am glad even though you are not sharing your accomplishments...I know that I am not just writing into cyberspace!!
I went to the networking events last week. I have to tell you , I just LOVED the speed networking! It was like I could only imagine speed dating would be. You got together for 4 minutes. 2 minutes I talked and 2 minutes they talked.. then we had to switch.. what a great experience.Plus, the glass of wine helped shake the nerves. I was a big girl and went alone and met a woman who's mother I knew. Small world.... so I would recommend that if you ever have a chance to speed network.. Go For It!!
Then the next day, I went to a chamber of commerce meeting. It was a celebration day for their volunteers. I felt really intimated. Alot of big businesses or at least it seemed that way. I felt like a duck out of water. Luckily, as I walked in and was going to get a cup of coffee for security, my husband called. I said... help.. I don't know a sole and don't know what to say to anybody... He suggested I walk up to someone and introduce myself and ask them what they get out of this networking group. How uncomfortable that seemed... But I did it.. just one person... and they were very nice.. I talked to only one person because the breakfast meeting started...
Even thought this meeting was a celebration day for all their committee chairs, I did learn alot about the Chamber. I know right now a big networking group is not for me and I will stick to the small networking groups.
So I have come to the conclusion that networking is a second job. I find it to be an adventure and sometimes overwhelming,,,but I am doing it.. My next big venture is a presentation to 20 to 30 people...for a breast cancer support group out of Bensalem, Pa. I will keep you posted...

Can I network? Cha-Cha-Cha!
Hey, I have ventured out and created a blog.. however I am the only on it... I feel a bit lonely, but I know that I have wanted to do this and eventually it will catch on. Right now I am in the throws of marketing my business. I am doing things that I never would have done in the past. I have 2 presentations scheduled at DSI breast Cancer support group and for Gilda's Club in Warminster, Pa. I will keep you posted of how they go and the times. I just joined a networking group, "Network Now" and am going to speed networking? Is that like speed dating? I guess I will find out. This is a big venture.. I am not use to going to these things alone let alone at all..I am also going to "percolate" this Thursday.at the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce. whatever"percolating" is, which another networking group... and then I will network with my family over the weekend. .Phew.. this entrepreneur stuff is alot of work, but fun. I will keep you posted, who ever you are..

My First Blog...
Hi All,
Welcome to my first ever blog! I created this blog because I believe anybody can do whatever they set their mind to if the really want it badly. Our perspective on our situation creates momentum throughout life. We always have a choice. Over the last 5 months, I have been in
school for life coaching and my mom had 2 strokes and I completed my first level of schooling and am now pursuing my certification in Life Coaching. Now that I have a short break, I just realized the magnificence of it all. The commute to NYC, taking the subway, traveling to Chicago, starting a new business, finding clients, running my house, working out, caring for my 2 dogs and taking care of my Mom who lives an hour away. Whew! May 21st was the last day of class. I felt like the actress in The Devil Wears Prada when she was running the company... My company was my life..I am finally running my life.
What do you have a passion to do? Where do you want to be 1 year from now? 10 years from now? Let us know and I hope bloggers will offer their experiences, strengths and hopes for you.
